Our Homestead

Welcome to Sweet Valley Farm & Harvest Barn—a small, family-run homestead built on the belief that good food should be accessible, affordable, and grown with care. What began as a quiet rural retreat has grown into a place of nourishment, service, and community connection for families across Fort Valley and beyond.

Rooted in the Countryside

Tucked along Camp John Hope Road, our homestead is surrounded by open fields, fresh air, and the kind of peaceful quiet you can only find in the country. This land is our home, our work, and our responsibility—a space where we grow food, raise animals, and open our doors to neighbors seeking healthier, more affordable choices.

Our Home & Way of Life

At the center of Sweet Valley is a modest farmhouse kitchen where most days begin—with fresh eggs from our flock, produce from the garden, and the joy of preparing food that comes straight from the land. Every part of the homestead reflects our commitment to simplicity, self-sufficiency, and hospitality.

Growing With Purpose

Just steps from the house is our thriving garden, where we grow vegetables, herbs, and seasonal fruits using natural practices and a whole lot of patience. Nearby, young orchard trees promise future harvests of apples, peaches, pears, and more. Caring for this land is a family effort—planting, weeding, harvesting, and learning together season after season.

Animals That Complete the Farm

Our animals bring heart and character to Sweet Valley. Chickens and ducks provide fresh eggs and naturally help manage pests around the property. Our goats, full of curiosity and personality, browse on brush and shrubs, doing their part to maintain the landscape in their own unique way. Together, they create a lively, balanced ecosystem that keeps the farm thriving.

Sustainability as a Standard

We strive to care for the land as much as it cares for us. Rainwater is captured for irrigation, compost enriches the soil, and we choose growing methods that protect the earth while producing food families can trust. Every improvement we make is designed with longevity and stewardship in mind.

A Place for Gathering

The land surrounding the Harvest Barn isn’t just functional—it’s a place for joy. Families spread blankets for picnics, children explore open fields, and everyone gets a chance to reconnect with nature. On clear nights, the sky becomes a stargazer’s dream.

Community at the Center

Even in the countryside, we are never alone. Sweet Valley is part of a warm, supportive local community. We partner with residents, churches, and families to bring fresh produce within reach—especially through our $10 Harvest Bags and weekly farm initiatives. Every week brings new faces, new conversations, and new ways to make sure no family has to choose between gas and groceries.

Sweet Valley Harvest Barn is more than a homestead.
It’s a movement toward simple living, shared meals, stronger families, and a community where everyone has access to wholesome, affordable food.

Welcome to the Valley.
We’re glad you’re here.
