Delivery Terms of Service
By placing an order for Harvest Bag Delivery, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Delivery Area
Harvest Bag Delivery is currently offered on a limited pilot basis in select areas. Delivery availability may change at any time based on route capacity, driver availability, weather, staffing, or operational needs.
At this time, delivery is limited to designated service areas only. Orders placed outside the current delivery area may be cancelled and refunded before delivery.
2. Order Deadline
All Delivery Harvest Bag orders must be placed and paid online by the posted order deadline.
Orders received after the deadline may not be included in that week’s delivery route. The Harvest Barn reserves the right to close orders early once delivery capacity has been reached.
3. Payment
All delivery orders must be paid online in advance. Delivery orders are not confirmed until payment has been completed.
The current price is $10 per Harvest Bag plus a $5 delivery fee, unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Driver tips are optional but appreciated.
4. Delivery Window
Delivery takes place on the posted delivery day during the posted delivery window, currently Fridays between 5 PM and 8 PM.
Delivery times are approximate. We cannot guarantee an exact delivery time due to traffic, weather, route order, road conditions, staffing, or other delays outside of our control.
5. Customer Responsibility for Delivery Location
Customers are responsible for providing a complete, correct, and accessible delivery address at the time of order.
The Harvest Barn is not responsible for failed or delayed delivery due to:
- Incorrect address
- Missing apartment, unit, gate, or building information
- Locked gates
- Unsafe roads or driveways
- Dogs or loose animals
- No safe place to leave the order
- Customer not responding to delivery communication
- Any condition that prevents the driver from safely completing delivery
If the driver cannot safely deliver the order, the order may be marked as undeliverable and may not be eligible for refund.
6. Cooler, Bin, or Safe Drop-Off Location
If you will not be home during the delivery window, you are responsible for placing a cooler, bin, crate, or other clearly visible container outside before delivery.
By placing an order, you authorize The Harvest Barn and its drivers to leave your Harvest Bag at the address provided.
Once the order is delivered to the provided address or designated drop-off location, the order is considered complete.
The Harvest Barn is not responsible for items after delivery, including but not limited to:
- Heat exposure
- Weather damage
- Animals
- Theft
- Insects
- Spoilage after drop-off
- Customer failure to retrieve the bag promptly
7. Perishable Food Notice
Harvest Bags contain fresh produce and perishable food items. Produce should be brought inside, inspected, washed, stored properly, and refrigerated as needed immediately after delivery.
Customers are responsible for proper handling, washing, storage, and preparation of all produce after delivery.
The Harvest Barn is not responsible for spoilage, quality changes, or food safety concerns caused by improper storage, delayed retrieval, or failure to refrigerate items after delivery.
8. Produce Selection and Substitutions
Harvest Bag contents may vary based on market availability, seasonality, quality, supply, and pricing.
The Harvest Barn reserves the right to substitute items of equal or similar value when needed. Photos, sample lists, or promotional posts are examples only and do not guarantee exact contents.
We make every effort to provide fresh, usable produce, but natural produce may vary in size, color, ripeness, shape, and appearance.
9. Limit Per Address
There is a limit of 3 Harvest Bags per address, unless otherwise approved by The Harvest Barn.
Orders exceeding the limit may be adjusted or cancelled.
10. Refund Policy
Due to the perishable nature of fresh produce, all Delivery Harvest Bag sales are final.
Refunds are not provided for:
- Customer not being home
- Failure to leave out a cooler, bin, or safe drop-off location
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery address
- Failure to retrieve the bag promptly after delivery
- Produce preferences
- Natural variation in produce size, color, ripeness, or appearance
- Weather-related exposure after drop-off
- Missed order deadlines
- Customer change of mind
- Duplicate orders placed by mistake
Refunds or credits, if any, are issued at the sole discretion of The Harvest Barn.
11. Damaged or Missing Items
Customers must report any missing or significantly damaged items within 2 hours of delivery by contacting The Harvest Barn with the customer’s name, order information, and clear photos of the issue.
Reports made after this window may not be eligible for review because produce is perishable and may be affected by storage conditions after delivery.
The Harvest Barn may offer a replacement, credit, or other resolution at its sole discretion.
12. Weather, Emergencies, and Delivery Delays
Delivery may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled due to severe weather, unsafe driving conditions, vehicle issues, farm emergencies, staffing shortages, supply issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
If delivery cannot be completed due to an issue on our end, The Harvest Barn may offer a rescheduled delivery, pickup option, credit, or refund at its discretion.
13. Driver Safety
Our drivers must be able to deliver safely. Drivers are not required to enter homes, fenced yards, garages, backyards, or unsafe areas.
Drivers may refuse delivery if they encounter unsafe conditions, including loose animals, threatening behavior, unsafe roads, poor lighting, or any situation that puts them at risk.
14. Food Allergies and Dietary Needs
Harvest Bags are packed in a farm and market environment where different types of produce and food items may be handled.
Customers with allergies, sensitivities, or specific dietary restrictions are responsible for reviewing the contents of their bag and determining whether items are safe for their household.
15. Communication
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information at checkout.
The Harvest Barn may contact customers by text, phone, or email regarding delivery updates, address issues, route changes, or order concerns.
Failure to respond to delivery-related communication may result in the order being marked undeliverable.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By placing a Delivery Harvest Bag order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Delivery Terms of Service.
The Harvest Barn reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
