Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Harvest Barn at Sweet Valley Farm. By using our website, placing an order, reserving a Harvest Bag, scheduling a pickup time, shopping at the barn, or participating in any of our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or purchasing from us.

1. About The Harvest Barn

The Harvest Barn is a small farm-based produce store located at Sweet Valley Farm. We provide fresh, affordable produce, grocery staples, bakery items, and select specialty products to our local community.

Our goal is to make fresh food more accessible while maintaining a simple, community-centered shopping experience.

2. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Because we sell fresh produce and perishable goods, inventory may change quickly based on supply, seasonality, customer demand, weather, vendor availability, and farm conditions.

We make every effort to provide accurate product descriptions, photos, quantities, and availability; however, we cannot guarantee that every listed item will be available at all times.

The Harvest Barn reserves the right to:

  • Limit quantities
  • Substitute items of equal or similar value
  • Remove or change products without notice
  • Cancel or modify offerings due to supply shortages
  • Adjust bag contents based on freshness and availability

3. Harvest Bags and Preorders

Harvest Bags and other preorder items may be reserved through our website when available.

Unless otherwise stated, Harvest Bags are designed to provide a variety of fresh produce items at an affordable bundled price. The exact contents may vary depending on supply and freshness.

Photos used on the website or social media are for promotional purposes and may not represent the exact contents of every bag.

By reserving a Harvest Bag or preorder item, you understand that:

  • Produce items may vary in size, shape, color, ripeness, or appearance.
  • Some substitutions may be made when needed.
  • The Harvest Barn prioritizes freshness, affordability, and availability when packing bags.
  • Preorders are not guaranteed beyond the selected pickup window.

4. Pickup Times and Missed Pickups

Customers are responsible for selecting and arriving during their scheduled pickup window.

Because our products are perishable, orders must be picked up during the selected pickup day and time. If you do not arrive during your scheduled pickup window, your order may be released, resold, donated, or otherwise redistributed at our discretion.

We are not responsible for missed pickups, late arrivals, forgotten appointments, weather delays, traffic, or failure to check email, text, or website updates.

Missed pickups are not automatically eligible for refund, credit, replacement, or transfer to a future date.

5. Walk-In Shopping

Walk-in shopping may be available during posted store hours, depending on inventory and crowd capacity.

Due to space limitations, customer safety, and product availability, The Harvest Barn may limit the number of shoppers inside the barn at one time.

Customers may be asked to wait, check in, join a waitlist, follow parking instructions, or return at a later time.

The Harvest Barn reserves the right to pause entry, close early, limit purchases, or end sales if inventory sells out or conditions become unsafe.

6. Pricing

The Harvest Barn is known for affordable pricing, including many items priced at $1 or less. However, not all items are guaranteed to be $1.

Some items, including but not limited to bakery goods, honey, nuts, specialty produce, fruit baskets, imported products, large produce items, or seasonal offerings, may be priced higher.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, update product listings, and refuse or cancel orders with incorrect pricing information.

7. Payments

The Harvest Barn may accept cash, credit/debit cards, Cash App, online payments, or other payment methods as available.

Payment options may vary by event, product, pickup method, or technical availability.

If payment is due at pickup, customers are responsible for paying before receiving their items.

Returned payments, failed transactions, chargebacks, or disputed payments may result in canceled orders or refusal of future service.

8. Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

Due to the perishable nature of our products, all sales are generally final.

We do not accept returns of produce, bakery items, prepared foods, perishable goods, or opened products.

Refunds, credits, or replacements may be considered only at our discretion in cases such as:

  • An order was unavailable due to our error
  • A customer was charged incorrectly
  • A product was damaged or spoiled at the time of pickup
  • A confirmed mistake was made by The Harvest Barn

Customers must notify us promptly if there is a concern with an order. Concerns reported after pickup, after products have been stored improperly, or after a significant delay may not be eligible for resolution.

9. Perishable Food Disclaimer

The Harvest Barn sells fresh and perishable food items. Customers are responsible for properly transporting, storing, washing, preparing, and consuming purchased items.

Produce should be washed before use. Some items may require refrigeration or prompt consumption.

The Harvest Barn is not responsible for spoilage, damage, food safety issues, or quality changes that occur after items leave our possession.
